This is a healthy sweet made from Fried Gram(Pottukadalai). This is a good evening snack for children too. I used to have a lot as a kids, just as an evening snack after coming from school. You can have Maladu or Ma laddu using 4 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Maladu or Ma laddu
- It's of Fried gram/pottukadalai/putani kadale.
- It's of sugar.
- It's of Ghee.
- Prepare of elaichi (cardamom)powder.
Maa ladoo recipe / Maa laddu I have heard about maa ladoo (pottukadalai urundai) made with chutney dal/ roasted gram dal through my grandma, but don't remember tasting it. My grandma pronounces it as 'Maa laadu' instead ladoo/ laddu. Otherwise no clue about this ladoo.
Maladu or Ma laddu instructions
- Roast the fried gram till 1min and blend it into a fine powder and also powder the sugar too...mix both together and tip in elaichi powder and mix nicely.......
- Heat ghee in a pan till hot and pour on to the above mixture and mix it nicely.....
- Take small portion and form balls.....make ladoo and serve..
