Ingredients of Rajma Chawal

  1. It's 200 grams of Rajma.
  2. It's 2 of medium sized Onions.
  3. Prepare 2 of medium sized tomatoes.
  4. You need 5 (6 pieces) of garlic.
  5. It's 2-3 of green chillies.
  6. Prepare 1/2 of " piece of ginger.
  7. It's 2-3 of bay leaves.
  8. Prepare 1 of small piece of cinnamon stick.
  9. You need 2-3 of cloves.
  10. You need 2-3 of cardamom / elachis.
  11. It's 2 teaspoon of Red Kashmiri chilli powder.
  12. Prepare 2 teaspoon of Coriander powder.
  13. You need 1 teaspoon of Haldi powder.
  14. Prepare 1 teaspoon of Garam Masala.
  15. You need 2 of /3 tablespoon oil or ghee as per choice.
  16. It's to taste of Salt.

  2. Take one pan. Add little oil. Cut onions roughly and add to it. Into it put ginger, garlic and green chillies..
  3. Saute till onions are translucent. Switch off the gas and allow it to cool..
  4. After cooling grind this into paste..
  5. Now take one pot or deep sized pan. Add some ghee and masalas like bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, elachi and laung..
  6. Add onion paste and saute for few minutes. Now make tomato paste and add to this masala..
  7. Mix well and saute for 5 10 mins..
  8. Add masalas like red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala. Saute for 2 mins and add rajma into it..
  9. Now saute till oil gets separated from masalas. Add little water and give one whistle..
  10. Now rajma is ready to be served with plain white rice..
  11. Serve Rajmas with white rice and Aachar..
