Ingredients of Rajma

  1. It's 250 gms of rajma soaked (5-6)hrs.
  2. You need of Salt as per taste.
  3. Prepare 1 of big onion paste.
  4. You need 1 of big tomato paste.
  5. You need 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
  6. You need 1 tbsp of butter.
  7. It's 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  8. It's 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  9. It's 1 tsp of corriander powder.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of garam masala powder.
  11. Prepare 2 of green chill chopped.
  12. It's 11/2 tbsp of oil.
  13. It's 1/2 tsp of whole cumin seeds.
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of kasoori methi.
  15. It's Pinch of hing.

The Punjabi way of cooking Rajma Masala is to soak it overnight in water, boil it using a pressure cooker and mix bhuna masala made with chopped onions, pureed tomato, ginger, garlic and milieu of fresh spices including cumin, coriander and chilli powder.

Rajma step by step

  1. First boil rajma in a cooker. 3-4 whistle.keep aside, now heat oil in a kadai add cumin seeds add onion paste fry till translucent add tomato paste fry it. Now add ginger garlic paste.green chillies..
  2. Add all dry masala salt & hing fry well & add kasoori methi..
  3. Put masala in a cooker,mix with rajma before covering the lid add butter. Butter for creamy texture I prefer..
  4. Now cover lid and keep for 2-3 whistle till rajma get soft. depend on size of rajma & cooker size how many whistle need..
