Ingredients of Rajma
- Prepare 1 cup of Rajma(kidney beans).
- Prepare 3-4 of Tomato.
- Prepare 2 of green chilli.
- You need 1 inch of ginger.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
- It's 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
- Prepare 2 teaspoon of coriander powder.
- Prepare 2 teaspoon of mango powder.
- You need 2 teaspoon of Everest rajma masala.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Black salt.
- Prepare To taste of Salt.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds.
- Prepare 1 of Dry red chilli.
- It's 1 of Tej patta( bay leaf).
- Prepare 2 of cloves.
- It's 2 pinch of Hing/asafoetida.
- It's 1 tablespoon of ghee.
- It's as needed of Water.
- Prepare As needed of Coriander leaves.
Of course, some roti would be great too. When I was in college, I ate rajma at least once a week. Rajma Masala is a very popular dish in the Northern states of India. The Punjabi way of cooking Rajma Masala is to soak it overnight in water, boil it using a pressure cooker and mix bhuna masala made with chopped onions, pureed tomato, ginger, garlic and milieu of fresh spices including cumin, coriander and chilli powder.
Rajma step by step
- Soak 1 cup rajma (kidney beans) in enough water overnight or for 8 to 9 hours. (Ya soak 4 to 5 hour in hot water.).
- After 8 to 9 hour drain all water and wash again.
- Heat pressure cooker add rajma Cook until for soft 5 to 6 whistle on a medium heat and rajma must be soft when cooked not and if rajma aldente or is hard, then cooked for 2 more whistle..
- How to make gravy of rajma -take a pan add 2 spoon ghee then add cumin seeds, tej patta, clove, hing, dry red chilli and let the colour into turn golden..
- Then add ginger chilli paste and tomato paste put all masala like turmeric, red chilli, garam masala, coriander, amchur, rajma masala etc and cook..
- Cook till ghee start to leave and moisture is evaporated..
- After add rajma and 2 to 3 cup of water and normal salt,black salt..
- Boiled 15 to 20 mint, Garnish coriander leaves. And serve with rice ya pulav.
