Ingredients of Rajma Rice

  1. Prepare 1 cup of red kidney beans (Rajma).
  2. Prepare 1 of large onion, sliced.
  3. It's 1 of large tomato, sliced.
  4. Prepare 1 inch of ginger.
  5. It's 4-5 of garlic cloves.
  6. Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin seeds.
  7. You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  8. Prepare 1 tsp of Coriander powder.
  9. It's 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  10. It's 1 tsp of amchur powder.
  11. You need 2 tbsp of oil.
  12. Prepare 1 tsp of garam masala.
  13. You need 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder.
  14. It's 1 of bay leaf.
  15. It's 2 of green chilles.
  16. You need to taste of Salt.
  17. It's as required of Coriander leaves for garnish.
  18. You need 3-4 cups of water.
  19. It's For of ( plain Rice):-.

  21. Prepare 2 cups of water.
  22. You need 1 pinch of salt.

How to Make Rajma Rice Recipe. A combination of perfectly cooked rice with delicious rajma i.e. kidney beans which have been cooked in onion tomato based gravy that is subtly spiced and flavored with ginger and garlic is Rajma Rice. Now add the rajma and one cup of water. You can garnish with coriander leaves.

Rajma Rice step by step

  1. Soak the rajma for 6-7 hours or overnight. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles until soft yet not mushy..
  2. Take a blender add, onion, Tomato, garlic, ginger, green chilli blend till smooth paste..
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai add cumin, bay leaf saute for a minute. Add blend mixture stir well cook for 7-8 minutes. Add all spices, Now add cooked rajma along with the water mix well and let simmer for 10 minutes when the Gravy thickens..
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves..
  5. Serve with cooked rice..
  6. For Rice:- Bring 2 cup water to a boil. Add wash soaked rice pinch of salt..
  7. Simmer heat and cook covered 15 minutes untill rice is tender..
  8. Remove from heat and serve with hot rajma...
